Print club: February 2026
John ffrench, my dad and co-founder of The Dolphin Studio, was an avid flower gardener and he passed on that love to me.

Last March, my friend Jill and I met for one of our early morning walks that loops past my childhood home where Sofia and her family live today. As the sun was coming up shining the promise of spring, we noticed - with great delight, snowdrops poking through the still chilly blanket of snow.

Realizing that my dad had planted them when I was in elementary school made those little harbingers of spring that much more special.
Born and raised in Ireland, John was not a huge fan of our long winters in western Massachusetts. Snowdrops give memories of hopeful joy when that first tiny bundle of fresh cut flowers graced our dining room table growing up. Their resilience seems miraculous. The perfect miniature vase that Primm would arrange the tiny blooms in each year is pictured above and in this month's Print Club Print too.
As we march toward spring, let's lean into resilience with kindness, inclusion and hopeful joy - okay?
PS. If you need inspiration to stay focused on the positive, let me suggest you check out Cup of Jo, where you can read all sorts of uplifting articles about what is good and right in the world.... (including The Dolphin Studio - Ha!).
