Welcome to The Dolphin Studio!
My name is Crispina ffrench, my sister Sofia and I run The Dolphin Studio, our family business founded by our parents in 1970. They were art teachers at Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington, MA augmenting their teachers' salaries with a side-hustle business making silkscreen printed calendars and lots of other artful objects. Little did they know that we would be carrying our family tradition forward over 50 years later!
The 2024 edition marks the 53rd year of annual calendar and the year that The Dolphin Studio outgrew the side-hustle 'ness' of our past. On September 1, 2023 I made the really difficult decision to turn my focus from my eponymous textile upcycling business, to face the magic that is three generations of our family building this awesome biz.
The New York Times has included our award-winning calendar in their 2023 holiday gift guide! Woooo Whoooo! Sending out high-fives all around! We are very grateful to be super busy shipping calendars to our favorite people (our customers) all around the world.
