Get inspired and make some valentines!
We get so many messages asking what to do with your old calendars. The possibilities are honestly endless, but one of our favorite things to do in February is turn them into Valentine’s Day cards.
If you’re looking for a fun little craft to do this Sunday while it’s super cold out, and you want to make something special for the people you love, grab your 2025 calendar (or any older ones!) and start cutting.
We wanted to share some cards we’ve made over the years, along with a few that you’ve sent us, in hopes of inspiring your own creations.

A few tips for making calendar cards:
-
Cut out the numbers 1 and 4 to make a “fourteen” for your card
-
Make paper hearts in lots of different sizes and layer them
-
Use letters from the months or days of the week to spell names or little messages
-
The more calendars you have, the more colors you’ll have to work with — I especially love months with pinks, purples, and reds
-
Adding stickers or scraps of fabric can really bring your card to life
-
Look back at past February designs — many already include hearts
-
We love using gel pens and washi tape to decorate on top of the printed paper

Happy crafting! We can’t wait to see what you make. Send us your designs to be featured in next week’s blog or on social media!
