Share your Thoughts - Poster Calendar

Last year we introduced a new calendar format - The Dolphin Studio Poster Calendar.  After 54 years of focusing on The iconic 12”x24” Dolphin Studio Calendar we decided to create a full year-at-a-glance poster calendar in response to many requests over the years.

The length of the design process involved with a new product always surprises me and this was certainly the case with our 2025 Poster calendar….  We went through 4 or 5 total redesigns before settling on the final image and then on to the actual printing…

Our poster calendars are 24”x36” - literally three times bigger than our traditional calendar pages which impacts every aspect of the making process.  Bigger screens, bigger squeegees, and larger sheets of paper to handle all took some time to get used to.  Of course our washout sink, darkroom and drying cabinet are designed to work with the smaller screens used for our traditional calendars too but we found a way to make it work.  It was exciting to offer a more affordable calendar option and then see strong sales roll in.   The wonderfully positive response to our new offering right out of the gate gave us the go-ahead to add a Poster calendar to our annual production.
