As a clothing up-cycler it is sooo easy to get distracted by the next super cool thrifting find, design idea or collaboration opportunity.

January is my time to build a chrysalis, a time to go inside and weigh all the ideas and options that will bring out the wings I desire.

As we enter the third week of this brand new year, the goals and aspirations we were oh-so-excited about just a couple weeks ago might already be taking a back seat to all our daily demands. You know what do Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, Beyonce, Steve Harvey, and Lilly Singh have in common (other than their fame and fortune)?
They are outspoken advocates for Vision Boarding, which means to me that this path work.
When Oprah made her first Vision Board she said: “I got a board put Barack Obama’s picture on it, and I put a picture of my dress I wanted to wear to the inauguration.” That was in 2008, she has been vision boarding ever since – the rest is history…
Ellen talked about her vision to be on the cover of O Magazine, and she put that dream on her vision board… ANDDDDD.. There she was on the second issue.
Beyonce uses the practice and positions her current Vision Board “over in the corner somewhere. Just so it’s in the back of my mind.”
Steve Harvey says, “If you can see it, it can become a reality. There is a magic that comes with vision boards and there is a magic that comes with writing things down.” That kinda says it all.
Lilly Singh says that she has achieved all the goals she has put on her vision boards over the years.
