ABOUT US
A little history
Founded in 1970 by the local high school art teachers John and Primm ffrench to augment their salaries and enable summer travels to John's home in Co. Galway Ireland.
The Dolphin Studio brought the family together through making. Since the very beginning each family member designed a month of the annual calendar.
WHO's In Charge
Today, Crispina ffrench and Sofia Hughes, sisters and daughters of Primm and John run The Dolphin Studio.
Crispina manages the printshop, new product development, wholesale and custom work. On the side she upcycles textiles inspiring conscious consumption and accessible creativity.
Sofia heads up our marketing, customer service, and business development. She has been teaching kindergarten for 27 years!
MEET THE TEAM
Our print team makes our production possible. Each summer we employ a couple of hardworking young people interested in learning our process who fit our vibe.
We have been blessed with two year round employees who have become master printers. Kerry Bates is our paper genie and production princess. Johnny Ringer holds down the cyber end of things and translates hand drawn art to digital files.
